The DM are obsessed with the Middletons. Wish they'd just leave them alone. I think there's still a lot of snobbery surrounding them.

I think he has the great advantage of being married into the royals but that said I'm sure he is a very nice man and handsome and kind. Wish him the best. Everyone deserves a genuine relationship and love. Their set up (money aside) wouldn't be for me. All a bit snobby and social climbing but they aren't harming anyone.

I can't help feeling the same when I see Carol Middleton and think of the business that has launched her into these circles.

I still find it incredible that such a normal family are at the heart of royalty in the UK!

And when she's not being granny ti the future king she's on St barts with her the other well married dd.

They all seem be enjoying the life of Riley and its largely come from her little start up business. Never in her wildest dreams could she have envisaged life turning out this way! It's extraordinary!

Leave them alone.

I think the title of this thread is really mean. He is a guy living his life. He will have good bits to him and bad bits to him, he will have made the most of opportunities and have made mistakes. Like everyone.

HeffalumpsDaughter · 03/01/2019 22:39

‘Her little start up business’ is so fucking condescending.

HeffalumpsDaughter · 03/01/2019 22:44

I’ve just googled them as I didn’t know too much about where their money came from. Although they’re obviously not aristocracy I’ve always assumed they were pretty posh so was surprised to see a pp describe them as ‘such a normal family’. Kate Middleton’s grandfather was a pilot who flew as a co-pilot to Prince Philip and the family apparently hosted aristocracy, including royalty, from 1920’s. I obviously move in the wrong circles because, to me, that would be bloody posh.

SummerStrong · 03/01/2019 23:02

I'm sure the Middletons are all very nice and rich and all that, but I'm just not remotely interested in who JM is kissing or what Pippa looks like in a bikini, I really don't think they are newsworthy at all.

Thank goodness I don't read the daily fail so these trivial new stories mostly pass me by

Carole is my secret hero. She’s obviously a brilliant mother and she started up her own business which has been a massive success. She’s seriously impressive whichever way you cut it.

TheSpottedZebra · 03/01/2019 23:11

Their business is undoubtedly successful, but there were also trust finds which paid for the expensive educations.

BooRad · 03/01/2019 23:11

What a vile, snooty title OP? You sound ridiculous.

Kaybush · 03/01/2019 23:56

Carole Middleton's party ware business is just a side line. She married a very wealthy, well connected man and that is where Kate's entry into Royal circles was enabled.

Unescorted · 04/01/2019 00:05

Is this a time hole? Has this tosh not been done away with in the 1850's. Does it matter who they marry or who they are related to?
