Delia's Barolo Beef - has anyone made it / eaten it?

I am very tempted to make this for some friends next week but would love some feedback - has anyone made it or eaten it? Does the beef turn out tender? I'm worried about chewy, tough beef!

But as a recipe it reads so well, sounds delicious.....

Ooh it sounds delicious! Do you know which delia book it was in? I haven’t made it I’m afraid but now want to. My dad loved Barolo and we had it at his funeral (he requested it).

I don't have any of her books, I saw it on her website under The Italian Collection of recipes.

I am sorry to hear about your dad, what a nice thing to do at the funeral.

Barolo is such a nice wine. I think I am going to go for it - I will report back if you like?

I'd forgotten that I've made this, years ago Blush, it was very nice. i have all Delia's books, showing my age, but I really rate her recipes.

Not made it (but I might have a go as it sounds delicious) but every delia recipe I've ever done has always worked perfectly first time. Unlike other tv chefs... good luck

I wonder if this could be done in a slow cooker?
