Lunch ideas

I have two young DC's at home and I really struggle for lunch ideas for them, and for us at the weekends. We are just in a but of a cheese or ham sandwich rut.

Can anyone give me any quick healthy, child friendly lunch ideas.

Eggs?
Omelette is quick, Chuck in whatever is in fridge. Or bake a frittata in oven night before when you make tea- just cut a slice.
Anything with dip goes down well- hummus/ guacamole/ with veggies/ bread sticks.
Tortilla pizza- wrap, tomato paste, but of cheese. Under grill for 2 mins.

Annoyingly, eggs is the ONLY thing the eldest won't eat.

Dips I think he'd like. Will give that a go!

Was meaning to post this exact thing today. Stuck in a massive rut.

Go to's are various sandwiches. Every now and again boiled eggs or quesadillas. I usually end up doing same old picky bits for toddler (sandwich, quiche, olives, cucumber and tomato) and she gets so bored of it. I long for a fridge full of selection but seem to keep buying the same old boring things.

We often have:

Grilled pittas which are filled with cheese and sweetcorn/peas.

Homemade mini pizzas when I can be bothered with a side of cucumber.

Pasta with basil passata, peas and grated cheese.

Cheese and sweetcorn/peas quesadillas. (You can see they like cheese and sweetcorn!)

I'm trying to encourage them to enjoy hummus as that would be great with veg batons and toasted pitta. Or hummus and veg filled pittas.

Wholemeal muffins which contain cheese, various grated veg and sweetcorn/peas which I make when I'm feeling like a super mum.

Toast with peanut butter and banana.

Will come back if I remember any more!

Mine like peas and sweetcorn too Grin. They sound like good ideas.

Those pizza rolls look fab. Hadn't thought of savoury muffins either, good call!
