Struggling with curtains!

I need a pair of plain blue curtains for DS bedroom. Should be easy except the curtain pole is 255cm and the drop needs to be between 150-160cm! Willing to buy 2 pairs and sew together but even this seems impossible!

Large windows are a pain. The only window we’ve got ready made curtains for came from Bluebellgray, it’s the smallest window in the house, other than bathrooms. Everything else has needed to be made to measure Hmm sorry I’m no help. It seems that manufacturers think we all live in hoses with narrow windows

Have a look of madaboutfabrics.com.

They make to order and a good price too!

Passthepigs · 03/01/2019 19:25

Yeh we had made to measure for our others. This room is the smallest window so I hoped to be able to find something cheaper as made to measure as so expensive and odds are DS will want a different colour in a few years time!

Dunelm do wide/long curtains. What sort of window (ie is it bay) Pencil pleat or tab top?

NotAQueef · 03/01/2019 19:33

Think also next and randomly George at Asda online too iirc

Normal window not bay.

Not fussy about tab or pencil etc. Just some plain blue curtains that are preferably blackout. Sort of a powder blue type colour.

Next had some perfect colour but they are too short.

Similar to this? Drop is a bit long but you could have them shortened?

YouCantTourniquetTheTaint · 03/01/2019 21:22

228x172cm will be fine, put the curtain pole higher so you don't need to alter them.

I read "struggling with curtains" and had a whole different picture in my mind Grin

RandomMess · 03/01/2019 21:25

Get pencil pleat put the hooks in the lowest position on the take and they will be shorter!

Passthepigs · 03/01/2019 21:59

Thanks Randomess that’s a good idea.
