We are getting married in two months time, at a DIY venue. We went with their recommended caterer, and paid him a big deposit. The wedding venue called me today and said they are no longer using him as a recommended caterer as they've heard bad reviews over Xmas about how he didn't turn up to a wedding at a different venue to ours. My venue is suggesting we get the deposit back off him, but as expected, he isn't answering his phone.
So the venue have any responsibility to help me as it was their recommendation that I went with?
