What part of Tenerife are you hoping to go to?

I like the Hotel Rui Palace Costa Adeje and the Rui Arecas

Tui sensatori was great with kids

KenDoddsDadsDog · 03/01/2019 14:48

Tui Sensatori / Gran Meliá de Isora (same hotel) is amazing !

Madbengalmum · 03/01/2019 14:55

Depends on your budget, but if best means most luxurious, best quality then you are looking at Bahia del Duque, but if best is something else then a Tui or Riu property may suffice. Also look at Iberostar grand hotels and sheraton. Pm me as i know most properties and locations.

Gran Tacande in Costa Adeje is lovely

Kezzie200 · 03/01/2019 20:55

We enjoyed Hard Rock. It was cheap as they are doing building work close by but the food was excellent, hotel real cool and the rooms amazing

We have sayed at Santa Barbara many many times. it's a lovely hotel, but it depends on how close you want to be to the busier parts of the island. Nearest beaches aren't walkable, and golf del sur is lovely, but quiet so really depends what you're after. Lots of the main excursions will pick up drop off from the hotel, so days out are easily plannable, but in the local vicinity you are restricted to restaurants, black sand/pebble beaches, and the usual holiday tacky shops. It's a short walk (15 mins) to San Blas, which if you do decide to stay in this area you MUST check out Gullivers restaurant, and el toro oro tapas bar. Both stunning restaurants. We have family in the island, so when staying in the area we have access to cars which makes things easier, hiring a car might be a good option, but to be honest there's a abundance of taxis always waiting to take you places so if you're happy to do this, you'll be fine. Most of the main attractions (jungle park, loro parque, Siam park) have their own coaches to pick you up, and even the whale/dolphin watching excursions put on transport to collect and drop off. Just really depends if you want to be staying closer to the more active resorts and nightlife of Las Americas, Adeje or you'd be happy to be a bit further out. Santa Barbara itself does have a "nightclub" (lol) and puts on evening entertainment although not every night, and is a really superb, clean, beautiful hotel. The pools and general facilities are great.

We would hire a car to go to water parks and beaches

We love Bahia del duque. Depends what you’re looking for.

Went to the ocean club in September was fab, little quieter than some the other places but not that much of an issue, great staff and facilities.
