Bucket list

To me, the above is a bucket list. Can someone please tell me the popular meaning of this expression ? Thankyou.

Bucket list is a list if things you want to do before you die.
Some people want to sky dive, go to a certain country, help a part of a 3rd world Country.
I don't have a bucket list. I just want to know I have brought my girls up as strong independent women who will be happy!

It's a list of things you want to do before you kick the bucket (die). Some people call them Life Lists - what you want to do in a set number of years.
I find them very helpful for getting you off your arse to do fun or challenging things, especially that small stuff you keep thinking you'll do but never get round to.

If you Google them you just get page after page of people saying they want to skydive, go to Oktoberfest and weirdly the Tomatina (some festival where people chuck tomatoes at eachother. Don't let that put you off.

But if you just sit down with a notebook and think: what have I always fancied trying or doing but never done? then you can start doing stuff instead of putting it off and then regretting.

If you write a long enough list you get past the big dreams stuff and uncover all those small things - they are the real fun. I realised i'd wanted to go to Dennis Severs House (candlelit museum dressed up as if an 18C weavers' family has just left the room) for about 25 years but just never gone. Ditto climbing up Monument in London. So I did both of those and loved them.
