Am I ok to eat this minced beef?

I froze it the day I bought it and it wasn't open then.
It's got a bit crushed in the freezer so it's popped the cellophane top and make the beef look a little brown at the edges.

I intended to thaw abs make a pie with it today. Is it still safe?

It sounds and looks fine - but if you are worried, give it the sniff test when it's defrosted.

It’s fine, a bit of air getting to it in the freezer won’t have made it go off.

Could just be a bit of freezer burn at the open end. Should be ok, might have lost a bit of flavour at that end but when it's mixed in anyway it won't be noticed. We have eaten a couple of things which have pooped open in the freezer over the years and been fine.

Enjoy your pie. I have some mince in the freezer, might attempt a cottage pie myself soon.
