Kindle fire for kids - music

I bought my dd a kindle fire for kids for Christmas having upgraded it from her old leappad. I want a way for her to play music which I bought through amazon but there doesn’t seem to be a way of doing it.

Does anyone have any bright ideas of how to give her access to the music?

I think you can add apps to the kids section that she can then have access to it. You would just need to add amazon music. Ill have a look on my dd's when she puts it down! When you first select the kindle for kids it should come up with the little dashboard thing with the icon and childs name. I think you can add them there.

Yep. Ive just checked. Go to the main screen under your user name. Then click on the fire for kids app. It will bring up a list of the kids registered with their names and icons. By each one is 3 icons with 0 or a number next to them. Click near those icons and it will bring up a screen. It will ask you what you want to add to your kids profile. As long as the amazon music app is downloaded for the adult profile it will show under the apps section. Click on the app you want (amazon music) and it will add it to your childs profile. Hope that all makes sense!

Thanks border. Does that definitely work for music? I hope so as I have a load which I bought for bedtime for her leapfrog. Seems a waste not to give her access now

Youll just need an app to play it through. Whatever app ypu can play the music to just add it to the device. It should work. I wont let my dd on youtube but i do have the bbc kids player allowed on hers. It works fine. The kindle for kids is great. I love ours and i like the fact you can add other apps to it but still know shes safe. I hope you get the music thing working
