Cleaning up sick...

DD2 has hand foot and mouth. She’s vomited everywhere.

As in sprayed it exorcist style onto my blind, the window ledge, down the wall, over both our duvets and the pillows.

My bed is up against that wall and needs dragging out so I clean.

I’m an emetophobe and have chronic severe anxiety (been on medication for years).

Fortunately DD is her usual unbothered self, but I’m sat downstairs with a hot tea trying to steel myself to clean it up.

I hate being a single parent sometimes. This is the only thing I can’t hack! Cleaning up sick Blush Sad

I feel for you.

I am not an emetophobe but I would struggle with that too.

I don’t even know where to start.

Might go throw the window open for a few minutes. It’s a box room and will stink if I don’t.

My asshole neighbours are also playing very, very loud music.

Fortunately I’m not at Uni or work this week so at least I’m not worried about that.

Have you got any Vicks? Slather a bit under your nose it really helps block the smell. Bicarb or washing powder to dry it up/disguise it a bit then
Lots of paper towels and spray Dettol antibac or whatever you have.. I used to hate it (not a phobia that must be horrible) but having 3 kids and their unlimited propensity for bug catching has hardened me to it.

Thanks French!
