Bumped my head, DH worrying. How to reassure him I'm fine.

Last night, well 4am-ish, I woke up and needed the loo. Really tired as had only been in bed 2 hours after NYE. Wasn't looking where I was going and tripped on the landing, fell backwards and bumped my head on the corner of the wall. Thought ow that was painful and went back to bed.
Today my head is sore where I've hit it, bit of an ache and I'm going dizzy when I laugh, yawn, bend forwards in any way.
I'm not being sick, didn't pass out or anything and I woke up easily when DH woke me this morning, and I feel anything but tired now. However, DH is a worrier and every time i go dizzy he's getting exasperated that i should have gone to the minor injuries unit.
How do I reassure him its just a bit of a bump and that there's nothing to worry about?

The getting dizzy part is worrying though

Don’t you think you should get checked for concussion?

Your DH is right, could be concussion. Go and get checked out. Or ring 111 and see what they say.

AtrociousCircumstance · 02/01/2019 00:59

I bet I know what 111 will say:

Sounds like concussion, go and get it checked.

I agree but am hoping OP will listen to them if not to us.

I've had concussion before (with more symptoms) and have been with my DC when theyve vomited after a head injury and been told only to go if you vomit more than twice and/or if it's a really painful headache that doesn't get better with paracetamol (not ibuprofen just in case)
I've had neither of those problems.
I'll call my GP in the morning. See if I can get an appointment. I can walk there.
