DH and I had a night away last without DC, which was going beautifully until I fainted twice at breakfast in our hotel. The city centre paramedic arrived quickly, and though my blood sugar and blood pressure were both within normal ranges, my resting heart rate was below 40, so he called for an ambulance and I was taken to hospital. They did a series of tests (including concussion because I fell), and couldn't find anything problematic. By that time (4 or 5 hours later than the fainting) my heart rate was back up so I was discharged.
I felt a bit lightheaded on and off for the next couple of days, but otherwise in decent health. The warning sign of the faint was a symmetrical ache in my mid/lower back for about 15 mins beforehand.
(For context/to avoid dripfeeding, I've been working very long hours (12 hour weekdays, 6+ hours at weekends) for months, and that will change in the NY but as I also have young DC, I have had almost no downtime for six months or so. I've either been working or asleep. The trip with DH was the first opportunity I've had to slow down.)
DH is a bit rattled. My parents (who were looking after DC) are really rattled. I don't know whether I ought to be worried or whether it's just one of those things.
I've made a GP appt next week because we are about to TTC and I would just like to be sure that nothing is amiss in case I'm lucky to conceive quickly.
Does it sound troubling to you?
