Anyone else want to join getting themselves financially better off this year? After a rubbish year I realise I need to do everything alone now and want to get together the deposit for a home/flat and get a better job than the shitty zero hour one i currently have. Anyone want to join with job hunting tips. Interview tips. General lifestyle tips and saving tips? All appreciated.

I am trying to not buy anything like clothes or lunch when im at work as it costs so much. Bus fair at the moment is something i need to pay. (I am in a lucky position to have moved back in with dm to save. After a bereavement and a break up this year.)

I'm in !! I will not buy ONE pair of shoes this year whatsoever..I have about 15 pairs so will wear each pair till skin is touching pavement
And bags ..no more bags
I plan to buy a ' gift card ' every payday even if it's only £10-£20 pounds ...by Christmas I can eat out , go to cinema etc ..my treat for the year

I have a few debts to clear off and need to look at better phone contracts as i will be paying £40 this month due to going over my limit :(

I also need to get into the habit of being fully groomed all the time so i feel more confident job hunting. Is a good excuse for me to use up the millions of toiletries and make up and nail polishes i have horded over the years.
