Has a book ever helped you change your eating habits?

Every time I go on a diet I end up putting even more weight on afterwards and I’m sick of the whole cycle. I really want to educate myself about the damage I’m doing to my health by eating crap. I read Superfoods a few years ago which helped but I’d really like to find something else to read which helps me get my head sorted before I start on my body. Anyone have any suggestions? Happy new year.

Yes... the blood sugar diet.

AnotherBeautifulDayToBeRogelio · 31/12/2018 20:56

Intuitive Eating by Evelyn Tribole completely changed my relationship with food. It's all about rejecting the diet mentality altogether.

mmmgoats · 31/12/2018 20:58

yes a book called RhiNourish

Gillan Riley's Eating Less

When i read it, many moons ago, there was no conventional diet advice whatsoever. More recently, on her blog, I've noticed some encouragement for low carb approach, which works well for me.

Watching this with interest

alphaechokiwi · 31/12/2018 21:17

Also Gillian Riley - Eating Less. All about how to deal with the problem (eating habits) rather than focusing on the symptom (weight). Changed my life...

Callmecordelia · 31/12/2018 21:18

Yes, the Hairy Dieters ones. The first and green book are the best.

Another vote for Blood Sugar Diet.

PoliticalBiscuit · 01/01/2019 00:29

Another blood sugar diet although I am struggling again so it hasn't led to a permanent fix.

MeetOnTheSIedge · 01/01/2019 00:36

I really thought the blood sugar diet might be the one for me but I couldn't sustain it and all the weight piled back on again. Will look into some of these others.

MinorProphet · 01/01/2019 00:46

Can someone link to the blood sugar diet book please?

BTWifiwithFON · 01/01/2019 14:26

Interesting that I already had a few of these books on my kindle, purchased and ignored. Have finished Sweet Poison which was very interesting and now reading Eating Less.
