I’ve done it. Loved it. Very relaxing.

I done at this time of year and thought about my plans for coming year,

Enjoy!

Make sure you gat you have Vaseline to put over any cuts or sore skin- the salt water can sting!

Once I got used to it, I really enjoyed the time to relax and reflect.

A then-boyfriend bought me a floatation experience as a Christmas present. He'd been given one as a gift himself previously and really loved it. I thought it was okay but that was it. I found the water slightly too cold for me and that stopped me from fully relaxing. If the water had been warmer, I think I would have enjoyed it more. This was at Floatworks near London Bridge.

My husband got me one 15 years ago when pregnant with my first. Bit weird and I'd watched the film Altered States a few years before. Also got salt in my eye - which killed! But apart from that - relaxing.....

I did three sessions of this - loved it the first time and then got progressively weirded out by it, to the extent that on the third time I started hallucinating noises, got out early and never went back...

If it’s saltwater make sure you shave at least 24 hours before. Any broken/open skin will sting.

Sometimes the time flies by too fast, others I’m ready for it to end sooner.

Enjoy if you can. Smile

I enjoyed my floatation experience but when came out, had a perfect oval of bright red skin around my face and covering my body. I looked like a Martian with a pale mask, the only part of me not submerged in the water. Hot and itchy for a few hours so never again for me. The ‘cleansing hymilayan natural salt’ was Radox Bathsalts as I saw the boxes in the back room.

I found it a bit boring and possibly a bit stressful - but that's just me Confused

Yes, loved it, although it took me a while to relax. Dh bought me a groupon for a floatation tank session when the summer holidays ended and kids were back at school.... Came out very relaxed...

I've done it a few times and love it. So relaxing. I didn't like the complete darkness in the Floatworks tank so took a few glow sticks which was better for me. Go for it.

It reminded me of insomnia. Suspended in time in the dark with nothing to do. Ok glad I did it though as it had been something i was curious about.

AviatorShades · 01/01/2019 10:31

fancynotplain thanks for the Radox laugh!Grin

I went once. It was ok but not in a hurry to repeat it. I was quite bored and couldn’t relax, I felt like I was waiting for something to happen?

How was your float op?
