Am I going risking food poisoning?

The power went off halfway through the chicken drumsticks cooking. I took them out of the over.

The power was only off for about half an hour and the chicken was still warm, is it safe to carry on cooking them now or am I risking food poisoning?

You'll be okay. It's a bit like cooking something very slowly

StormyLovesOdd · 31/12/2018 15:56

Well I've put them back in the oven and I'm hopping for the best. I think as long as they reach a good temperature they should be ok shouldn't they? Don't want to start 2019 with food poisoning.

You really won't get food poisoning. It's just chicken.

Salmonella and listeria don't cause food poisoning Hmm
OP, as long as the food is cooked properly you'll be fine

Carter86 I am aware of the causes of food poisoning, and didn't mention salmonella and listeria, but thanks for your humphy face.

It is the second most twatty Mumsnet emoji of all. Here's the winner Xmas Hmm.
