DS1 is a keen drum student so we bought him an electronic kit to go in his (upstairs) bedroom.
Sadly, it's REALLY loud. Not so much the sticks on the pads, but the booming sound of the pedals. The sound goes right through the floor, and I'm sure it's going through our (not brick -- maybe partition?) wall to the horrible ND neighbours, that I really don't want to annoy.
Have you ever successfully soundproofed a room upstairs? We'd love some help, tips, advice! Our house is semi-detached. Modernish, with chipboard floors (covered in carpet, obv) and those thin walls.
We don't have anywhere else it can go -- no space downstairs (we only have one room), no garage, shed or conservatory.
Thanks in advance!
