What to cook in my new instant pot?

It is arriving Wednesday. Day 1 will be jambalaya, day 2 butter chicken and rice.

I want some recipes of things I haven't cooked for a while or at all.

Bolog, chilli will happen and I will have a go with joints. We do porridge in the microwave so it will need to be very good to beat that. Rice pudding is on my list.

Links to recipes or simple suggestions welcome

There are a couple of good FB groups I got all my support from. One is InstantPotUK (official), another is something like 'Nick and Amy's Instantpot'.

They have loads of recipes, a starter guide, and you can ask questions.

I was surprised by how quiet it is in operation. It feels like it doesn't do anything. Most unexpected use- poached eggs. I can poach 5 eggs to perfection in silicone ramekins, when doing a cooked breakfast.

Other than that, all the usual slow cooker and pressure cooker meals, rice, and I've appreciated being able to walk away from it. I reheated soup knowing it would get to temp and then just wait until I came back to it. Very convenient.

My favourite is shin of beef in Guinness. Not very original, I know, but I love it.
