Does anyone know anything about house plants

I have a slightly odd shaped living room and was hoping to get a plant to make one of the corners look less bare.
It would need to be pretty tall and thin. I’d quite like a cactus but unsure of the variety I’d need and how much I’d need to spend, anyone have any suggestions? Cactus or otherwise?

Oh and really low maintenance as I am not greenfingered at all

How bright is the corner? Cacti like lots of light,and if it's not well lit a lot of plants will struggle.

I know how to kill them. Every.single.time. It’s a superpower.

Try a Sansevieria aka Mother-in-laws Tongue, thrives on total neglect, happy anywhere (mine is watered about four times a year and stands in a dimly lit hallway).
