I’m bored rigid!!
Have been off over a week. Had lovely Christmas but am chomping to get back to work and routine.
We’ve not gone out hardly at all and have sat around not really doing alot!
Is it just me?
We are heading out today (lunch and a nice stroll around a seaside town but I’m feeling ridiculously fed up and have had cabin feever since the 28th December.
Is it just me?

Just you.

I went back last week, would love a few more days off.

looktothewesternsky · 31/12/2018 08:13

Just you.

Babygrey7 · 31/12/2018 08:15

Me too OP, I much prefer summer days off

clumsyduck · 31/12/2018 08:17

I get you , I love Christmas but it sometimes gets a bit much if your not doing a whole lot , stuck in the house, sick of junk food , kids going a bit loopy well that's my experience anyway when I've had to much time off .
Iv worked a couple of days in the last week and had the others off which was actually ok even though I was a bit miffed to be in Boxing Day but it wasn't to bad really and feel like Iv enjoyed my days off more

Back to the grind properly next week is quite depressing though. January shudder

YetAnotherThing · 31/12/2018 08:17

The grass is greener! Most of us that had to work over the festive period are so jealous of those that had 2 weeks off!

clumsyduck · 31/12/2018 08:19

Yes I don't feel like this in summer at all either . I do love Christmas though. Weird !!

topcat2014 · 31/12/2018 08:21

The novelty will wear off by Thursday afternoon :)

madasamarchhare · 31/12/2018 09:06

I’m with you, I worked a couple of days at the end of last week and was so pleased I did. I find the days all roll into one at this time of year. We’ve been out to the seaside, we’ve done panto and this evening we are out for a meal but I’m looking forward to taking all the decorations down tomorrow and resuming a normal routine from
Monday. I’d rather be off May - Oct when the weather is much nicer. I really dislike the period between Christmas and new year.

Coffeeandcrochet · 31/12/2018 09:43

I’ve been off since the 20th and it’s been fabulous, I’m not going to wish it away!

SleighBellsRing · 31/12/2018 15:13

We are heading home tomorrow and even full of cold I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed!

greendale17 · 31/12/2018 15:44

We’ve not gone out hardly at all and have sat around not really doing alot!

^Well if you made an effort to do stuff it wouldn’t have been so mundane would it?

SalrycLuxx · 31/12/2018 15:48

I’ve worked over the whole thing (except bank holidays). It’s been fab. Got loads done, got to catch up properly with clients (who were also around) and got to drink tea in peace and quiet!

ClashCityRocker · 31/12/2018 15:53

I've enjoyed the break but am looking forward to getting back into a routine.

Christmas break is always slightly marred by worrying about the amount of work piling up, which is not a problem other times of the year as colleagues cover.

However, I know that by 11am on the first day back the Christmas break will seem like ages ago so trying to make the most of it!

GreyGardens88 · 31/12/2018 15:56

Dreading Wednesday, as PP said the work will have been piling up so I will be flat out for 3 days straight Sad However I am only in for 3 days then off again for 2 weeks holiday! Grin

feedifum · 31/12/2018 16:03

Just you - dreading going back to work Sad

Babysharkdoodoodoodo · 31/12/2018 16:05

I've worked through Christmas:(. Probably next year as well. And tonight until 2am

Lucky gits Grin

ForalltheSaints · 31/12/2018 16:07

Thank you OP for giving me another reason to be glad I went into work between Christmas and New Year. Aside from the main reason which was to have the time off at the end of January instead.

IRememberSoIDo · 31/12/2018 16:12

Not me I'm dreading going back, absolutely dreading it.

Holidayshopping · 31/12/2018 16:15

I’m dreading it!!

hidinginthenightgarden · 31/12/2018 16:25

I have to wait until next Monday and am not appreciating it at all! DD being a little shit because her routine is all over the place and realising how fucking little DH actually listens to. I am in a bit of a rage and may open the wine super early!!
