Does any one know about maintenance payments in ireland?

Ds dad lives in Dublin, I live in Uk.

We have had a long-standing arrangement since birth where I receive nothing but he pays the school fees - £12k a year.

He has pulled back massively - stopped visiting, calling etc and now no longer wants this arrangement.

Is there an equivalent of CMS over there? Or an online calculator that tells me how much he should pay?

And if he’s been paying this for last 5 years, and his circumstances haven’t changed, is there any way a court would force him to carry on?

I appreciate this is VERY unlikely, but I thought I’d ask just in case!

In Ireland he would be ordered to pay maintenance but I’m not sure about to outside of here. I wonder could citizens advice bureau help you. It could be worth ringing them.
Good luck. I’m sure someone will be able to help with better advice.

I’ll have a look at that link and citizens advice. Thank you both!

I hate feeling so vulnerable! I don’t know how best to proceed as the trust has gone completely now.

Ooh thank you. Those links have explained it really well - so there isn’t a flat calculator, but both parents are expected to cover costs and that includes educational ones. I wonder if by setting a presidence a court would enforce it even for just one more year so he could finish pre-prep at the end, rather than need to leave early.
