I've just invited someone for NYE who would otherwise be alone. They are gluten intolerant. What party food can no buy or make quickly? I'm not a bad cook so happy to make something. Also have a co op, Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, smaĺl M&S food shop and a Waitrose nearby. Could get to Iceland if I needed to, no Sainsbury's for miles though.

I will have about a tonne of cheese, can get some gluten free bread (or crackers...do they exist?). We'll also have olives and I can make some gluten free brownies.

What else can I do. My mind's gone blank?

Keeping it separate is the way to go. New butter, sealed cheese, crackers. You can always cut some of each cheese and separate it but do it on a clean board away from any bread etc. Keep separate knives with it so no one butters bread then uses the same knife for cheese etc.

Most of us take our own food places though so don't be surprised if they bring food.

This thread is confirming why I avoid buffets! Rye, Oatcakes, Couscous - I’m feeling on edge just reading all the ways I’d be put out of action for 6 weeks Sad

Seperate knives, bread boards, butter. Don't let anyone else use them. No Wheat, barley or rye in anything. So no malt vinegar, only spirit.
I've caught myself out this Christmas, so many people in the kitchen and lots of home baking has had me feeling ill. I used the butter after someone else used it with proper bread. (I don't usually have bread in the house) I got macaroons too, but they had been placed on top of ordinary brownies Bah It ruined Christmas.
Co-op has nice gluten free party food and cheese crackers. I also bought from Morrisons, nice ordinary pate and gluten free party foods. they had a small green symbol on the front of the packets,
