Hi. My Df is 50 in a couple of weeks. We've been friends for 45 years, and are very close, but I can't think of anything. Money is a little tight, and she had expensive tastes. A bracelet is out, because she has 3 that she never takes off. Help me please!!

Make a photo album of pics of the two of you through the years with a "Here's to getting old disgracefully together" or "Bring on the next 50" or some such.

A day out together. Lunch and massages or tea at a local nice hotel. Or you could organise a party at yours and supply wine but ask everybody to bring a dish.
