OK, help me plan my NYE

For one reason or another, I will be alone on NYE. I don't have to be alone, but due to unfortunate events in my world recently, my DH of 28 years is not here.

I have decided, it's probably better for all my friends, if I don't socialise with them. It'll only be a sob fest at midnight and no one likes a misery guts!

DD and the boyf are hosting a party at his, so it's all about me. It's highly unlikely I'll make it to midnight tbh, but what shall I do?

I need food, drink and entertainment. Not asking much, am I?!

Go! Grin

I hope you enjoy your evening Maureen, it sounds very relaxing (neither of my girls wants to go to bed before midnight so it'll be a long evening here; I'm usually tucked up by 11pm at the latest Confused )

Ok, bath & pampering done. Several things I have learnt.
1. I don't like laying in the bath - it's boring. 4 songs I lasted, so that's about 15 minutes.
2. I have dried my hair. DD had new hairdryer, so I had a go. How did we cope without straighteners? I was in full Whitney Houston 'I wanna run to you' video pose at one point, but I look like an 80's throwback
3. There is nothing - nothing - (another Whitney reference here) like the feeling of brand new socks
4. I am almost 51 and brand new socks are lovely, but I'm fucking hot!
5. I am secretly thrilled to bits that I don't have to stay awake until midnight. This has been my dream for about 20 years
6. It's all fucking bollocks, but let's go with it and see what happens

Smoked salmon and cream cheese canapés next! I may join the party. Even a virtual party scares me right now.
