... what I need to do to transfer everything from my old (second hand) iPhone5 to a second hand) iPhone6!

I gather my SIM might need a trim, but will everything be on the SIM?

I only ask because a previous phone I had, you had to be sure to have stored stuff like phone numbers 'to SIM', not 'to phone', otherwise it (obviously) didn't transfer across to a new phone!

Your new phone will prompt you when you start it up. Back up everything on your iphone5 to your icloud. Then sign into your new phone.

Do you have an icloud account or iTunes?

I always take a new phone to a shop and get them to do it.

As soon as u log in on new phone with Apple password it will automatically copy everything over, photos, apps, messages, phone numbers etc.

The 5 and 6 take the same size of SIM
