A friend is going back and forth on whether to tell her partner of 2 years about a drunken night last week.

your 'friend' already knows the answer to that. obviously you your friend should tell.

I think not. However, the friend needs to decide that this situation is not going to happen again. And the friend, if they didn’t use a condom, needs to get a health check before they resume intimacy with dp.

Or stop kidding themselves that they are committed to the relationship & leave!

@JustanotherCHRISTMASuser01 definitely not me! In a happy relationship with children, I was purely curious to see what others would do in this situation as my advice giving is poor. She's torn up and is insistent that it would never happen again but it's someone she has previously slept with which I think makes a difference.
