Tipping the takeaway delivery driver

Do you?

I do. 10% of the bill usually.
I always think it must be a bit of a thankless task and I am really grateful to them for bringing it to me. I know 10% isn't much but the takeaway is a real treat when you haven't much spare.

Bangladeshi tonight. So happy.Smile

@pippop1317 I think it was Killed by my Debt, based on a true story about a young man who got a job with a delivery company with very shady work contracts, bought a motorbike on finance & ended up spiralling in debt till he had bailiffs turning up at his mums door. Was so sad but what was worse is that it was so easy to see how people could get themselves into a position that they felt there was no other way out of.

@SlightAggrandising that’s the film I saw - so sad

@Musicalmistress I was shocked & saddened by it & it changed my attitude to tipping. I'm fortunate to be in a well paid job & I think I should do more. Another thread...

@Musicalmistress thank you. I'll give it a watch x

I always give a couple of quid. It’s a shit job and I feel sorry for them out in this weather in the evening when I’m inside all warm with a takeaway!
