Where does your teenage ds but their clothes?

And what do they wear? My 14 year old ds shows no interest in what he wears but has grown a lot and needs new clothes. I really am clueless as to where to take him. He is very tall and muscular build (would not get into skinny jeans!) so actually is in men's clothes.

I have the same problem thisisnow . I tend to get my DS a lot from NEXT but need other options

PoptartPoptart · 30/12/2018 10:18

DS (13) likes Superdry clothes.

I have a 14 y o DS who is now 6ft 2 and VERY skinny and it's a nightmare - Gap or Jack Wills are the only shops which do jeans which consistently fit, and he has a few bits from Superdry and Abercrombie. He really doesn't care about clothes at all and is very hard to buy for/with, so he ends up living in the same few bits until they fall to pieces!

At that age it was super dry in the house and also Jack Jones now at 17 DS won’t consider the idea. He orders his stuff online and it’s all without a brand name on it.

hmmwhatatodo · 30/12/2018 10:23

I find this to be a really difficult age to buy for in that there is a real lack of options in the shops. Often they only go up to around age 12.

DS had a growth spurt a couple of months ago, so I took him into H&M and loaded him up with basics - jeans, joggers, plain t-shirts, a couple of hoodies, plus a white shirt for any formal stuff he has to do (we're at a stage where we all need to be able to dress for a funeral).

So nothing exciting, but I told him if he wanted anything special to let us know, plus he buys interesting t-shirts from here and there.

I thought the OP meant PUT -

The floor mainly!

Panicmode1 · 30/12/2018 10:26

@GreenTulips Grin - my DS is the same!!

thisisnothow · 30/12/2018 10:30

@panicmode1 that is just like my ds! Had 1 outfit he continuously wears until they become threadbare!

DS now 17 buys second hand stuff off Depop.

When he was younger (around your DS age) SUperdry or Hollister was the thing.

Scabetty · 30/12/2018 10:31

Urban outfitters had become popular with ds by 15 yo. Also H&M for basic tshirts and plain sweatshirts. Lately Uniqlo has been a hit for jeans and trousers, where it had been dismissed a few months ago with a curled lip expression Grin. Ds is quite in to clothes and is now ‘vintage shopping’ so lots of trawling round second hand shops and markets. Brings back memories Smile

Everything my DS owns comes from ASOS. He is quite skinny and they have the skinniest jeans, trousers and slim fit hoodies etc.

Prices are reasonable too.

yomellamoHelly · 30/12/2018 10:41

Topman lately. Also has a superdry jacket now. His clothes all look like dh's. He's tall and skinny still, so waistlines an issue.

yomellamoHelly · 30/12/2018 10:41

Oh and H&M for their shirts. (He thinks they're cool.)

sansou · 30/12/2018 14:34

DS15 lives in Animal, Superdry, Nike & VANS - all bought in the sales. I bought him a Jack Wolfskin coat and a Jack Willis hoody (half price) for Christmas.
