...and I've been wide awake since 6am. And, just to highlight that I'm getting older, I can't lay in bed much longer as my lower back is killing meBlush

I have a three year old and days when it's my turn to get up with him, I could sleep until midday easily.

Should I text my DH to bring me some coffee, sit up and watch crap on tv? If so what shall I watch?

And for this lower back pain rubbish...do I need better mattress? Better pillows? (Really hoping not mattress, only just spent 800 on a new one!)

Happy birthday. Did you get to pick what you want for dinner ?
That is the tradition in our family.
Also must have separate gifts for December babies.

Thank you Smile

Yes, and after a week of eating crap and takeaways, I have decided that I want to make bruschetta (the tomato, red onion and basil variety) followed by a chicken salad ha!

And I want to make it. I want to be in the kitchen sipping wine whilst DH plays with DS ... it's been a long ten days with no nursery and I really do not want to play any more firefighters or police men games!

Happy birthday! Try sleeping with a pillow between your knees, my back gets really sore now if I don't.
Have a lovely day!

Happy birthday
Definitely a hide away and watch crap TV sort of a morning whilst Dh does childcare

I have always had lower back pain if I stay in bed long after waking up. Makes no difference when had a new mattress, or different bed on holiday etc.

Twenty minutes of yoga from an app a day sorted out my lower back pain (I’m currently lying in bed with coffee and TV and MN!)

Happy birthday!

Thank you both

Annoyingly I already sleep with a pillow between my legs.

Have given up and am up. Regretting it already

Kitty - I've never tried yoga, def worth a shot. Do you have an app you would recommend?

A birthday treat to go out alone and have a long coffee and read a newspaper. You will be back by 10 to be greeted with great excitement as they will have had a chance to get everything ready for you!

Dinner sounds lovely.
Bath bomb and book after dinner?

sparklefarts · 30/12/2018 09:32

All I've been greeted to so far is DH and DS arguing Hmm

DS is just being a typical 3 year old who has been away for ten days (visiting family) and is very excited to be home.

Bath bomb sounds like a very good idea!

Expectation meets reality, hope you had a great day
