If you wrote the Christmas cards, did you put your DH/DP's name first?

Looking through the cards we received this year, I know most of them were written by the wife/female partner, yet in most cases they've put the husband/partner's name first.

I've always written the majority of cards in our house, and put my name first having agreed with DH that he puts his name first if he writes the card.

What do you do, and why?

I don't do Xmas cards but if I did I would put my name first for my family and friends, his for his family and friends, mine for joint friends if I was writing them. But as he's the one who cares about cards he writes them. In that instance I expect he puts his name first. Kids I do in chron order of birth.

I put mine if I wrote it. I used to put his first if it was for his family or his friend/a friend who knew through him but I stopped doing that as found it unnatural. If he is around when I'm writing them though I sign my own name and then he signs himself and DD (baby). If he's at work or something I just sign it from all of us. Pre-DD he used to always sign his own name on the cards and if they were for his family/friends he would write them and I'd sign my own name. It's just I'm on mat leave atm so have done them this year.

If I write them, my name first. If DH writes them he puts his name first.

Depends on who’s friend they were first or who’s family and then the kids go in age order.
