Really bad ovulation pains

I have Arthritis, so I'm used to pain but fuck me this hurts.

I've always been aware of ovulation due to some level of discomfort but it's got worse. It's pain killer territory now Shock

Is this normal? I'm late 30's and have 3 kids.

I mean it's got worse month on month. Although since May 2014 I've been pregnant breastfeeding etc so cycle only came back from Aug 2018.

What kind of pain, out of interest?

I'm 39, no kids, had a unilateral oopherectomy/salpingectomy four years ago because of stage IV endo (which came as a massive surprise to me, having never had any period problems ever - endo was only diagnosed when they went looking for cysts).

I get dreadful 'mittelschmertz': it feels as though a metal rod has been left in the left side of my abdomen and digs in from my pubic line to my lower ribs when I bend over etc.

No other symptoms (bleeding or suchlike).

Following this thread with interest.

I have endo and have had awful ovulation pains. They seem to be settling down as I am finally inching my way toward menopause. I would recommend checking with your GP though as they might want to refer you to rule out any other issues. They might also be able to offer help for the pain.

I did post kids - also get tiny bit of spotting too.

It's awful - feels all bloated and like when you have an upset tummy. Been checked out etc so normal
for me.

I have had 2 ectopic pregnancies, 2 tube removals, 2 lots of ivf plus a c section so I figure there's some scar tissue etc which doesn't help. Certainly the

I used to have this. Get it investigated via your GP I had an ultrasound to rule out anything like PCOS.
I also paid privately for some acupuncture which did deal with the pain!
I also have 2 DCs.
