RIPJune
She always had that naughty little twinkle in her eye, so sad but bet she had a fabulous life

letmepeeinpeace · 29/12/2018 23:09

I've been re-watching ab fab over Christmas! Such sad news

Samcro · 29/12/2018 23:10

so sad. I remember watching Terry and June when I was young.

HelenaDove · 29/12/2018 23:27

In the Steptoe and Son episode from 1964 called The Bonds that Bind Us June plays a good time girl who tries to seduce Albert after the old man has a win on the Premium Bonds.

RIP June.

I'm sure she'll be missed deeply by her loved ones but she had a successful career, was loved by many and lived until 93. She was blessed and that's something to celebrate. I adored as a child. She had such a warm personality.

GaryBaldbiscuit · 30/12/2018 08:27

Very sad to read this.
Great in Terry and June and fabulous in Ab fab.
many other things too but these are the ones I knew her most in.

SoupDragon · 30/12/2018 08:31

Aw... RIP June - you were amazing!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 30/12/2018 09:35

RIP June.

Let's be mindful though. She did get to a very good age. I get to some I might sound like a heartless insensitive cow, and I know this is a terrible thing to say, but "She did have her life", and a very good one, it seems

SoupDragon · 30/12/2018 12:05

I might sound like a heartless insensitive cow

You're right. You do.

A loss is still a loss and people can feel sad. Your post was totally unnecessary and inappropriate.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 30/12/2018 13:02

Sorry but I do stand by what I said.
No where did I say people can't feel sadness at such a loss, and if i did use those words. Id like exact quotes and times ect.
but She was 93. She did have the good and the bad times.

SoupDragon · 30/12/2018 13:10

You aren't sorry at all. Not one little bit.

Rockbird · 30/12/2018 13:18

Why do you feel the need to say that though? You can think what you like but you don't have to make every thought known.

XmasPostmanBos · 30/12/2018 14:34

When someone who is elderly and has lived a full life dies it is less tragic than a young person who has not been able to fulfil their potential and do all the things most people would hope to do in life.

That doesn't mean we won't feel very sad and miss the person just as much. I still often think of some of June's contempories who I enjoyed watching on TV shows growing up although some of them have been gone for some time. They gave us a lot of fun and entertainment and we will remember them fondly.

HelenaDove · 30/12/2018 16:11

Her Steptoe and Son episode.

GameofPhones · 31/12/2018 00:38
My favourite - the Je t'aime spoof, banned by the BBC when it was first done. She said she did it without rehearsing.
