Waffley yes that's right. The one I've used, you had to rotate it halfway through cooking, yours might be different though.

You can waffle left over chips to make a crispy chip thing that is excellent with eggs. I always cook too many now just for this.

The batter needs to be a bit thicker than pancake batter, but basically yes, you put batter in and get waffles out.

If you google easy waffle recipes you'll find some but my favourite involves mixing dry ingredients and then adding wet ingredients and you're good to go - very easy and quick unlike some which need you to separate eggs and do folding of the mixture and stuff like that

I make liege waffles on mine. recipe make a big batch of dough and after making a few waffles I use what's left to make pannetonne.
I am the size of a house.
