What do you do with your tetra-cartons (disposal)

DD and I drink soya milk so we get through 1-2 cartons a day.
Then there's orange juice cartons.

Our recycle waste won't take them and there;s 2 recycle containers in supermarkets , but one is permanently full to overflow , the other is a supermarket I don't go to much, so I constantly have bags of the damn things till I make a trip there.
Actually I think I should crush them into tiny blocks !
It seems wring to put them into normal refuse.
A couple of times I've put two clear bags full out but I'm sure they just put them in the crusher .

So do you bin them? Recycle? Is your borough more accomodating?

Our local authority accepts them for recycling.

There's also a group in our town that accepts things not taken by the local authority ie crisp packets. Have a google for recycling banks near you too as some accept tetra pak.

Or look for eco groups in your area.

Our local authority takes them. They go in the bin with paper, glass, tins etc. It's a shame that yours don't.

I had a look on the website , some supermarkets listed that I am pretty sure didn't have the recycle containers (I dropped glass bottles off and I'm always on the lookout for the tetra-bins) though it might have been removed ?

Ours are fairly strict with the recycle , there's a list of acceptable/non acceptable items . They will leave things which breach.

Looks like I'll be rinsing and crushing and make a trip to the one I know has a bin. Smile

Our kerbside collection doesn't take them but there is a collection point at our local council tip so I have a box I collect them in and do a trip every few weeks.
