That's all really!
Something good but that isn't like a jet taking off would be ace.

Miele. Pricey, but so so quiet

Ivegotthree · 29/12/2018 19:13

Yes Miele

laramara · 29/12/2018 19:18

Another Miele fan here!

We've just bought a Samsung one, I can't believe how quiet it is! It's one of the ones with the little door inside the big door - DH insisted on that one because we can control it by our phones... Goodness knows why though as he never touches the machine Grin

There is something called a 'Quiet Mark', I haven't got one but when I replace my washing machine I will look for one with the quiet mark certification because it is integrated and gets on my nerves if I am in the kitchen (have always had a utility room before).

Look at this one, you can see what the logo looks like (quiet mark that is).

Great thank you so much. I'll start browsing properly

I have this Bosch one - the lovely person at the end of chat on ao.com went through all their specs to find the one with the quietest spin (there are several advertised as quiet spin). This one was 76dB, but there may be a quieter one available now as I bought mine last year.

LG steam. It's great

DailyMailFuckRightOff · 29/12/2018 21:56

LG direct drive. No belt so less noise.

Celebelly · 29/12/2018 22:00

We have a super quiet Bosch model. Almost same as @RedCabbageStains I think - a Serie 4.

MaidenMotherCrone · 29/12/2018 22:03

I have 2 absolutely silent Bosch machines. Even when they are both on spin you can’t hear a thing. Then again they are in the garage so that might have something to do with it.

Samsung EcoBubble. It's so pretty too. Grin

I have an Indesit Lindo300 (in 10kg drum, though it comes in various sizes). It is virtually silent. There are video reviews that show the sound level on YouTube.

Miele, best washing machine I've had. You wouldn't know it's on.

BooseysMom · 30/12/2018 07:49

Dont know about washing machines but wish we had a quiet kettle..ours sounds like a plane taking off!

jessstan2 · 30/12/2018 08:01

Yes, they are quiet when they are new. After a lot of use they get cranky, verbally and with movements!
