Anyone else flu/cold thing?

Have been mostly confined to my bed since Boxing Day. Feels like a cold that has morphed into flu... is that possible? Should be ok to be sick at the moment but for some reason am feeling the pressure of bored kids (13,11,8). Plus there's actually loads to do...
Actually I did manage to do drag myself around the shops earlier with bored kids... but came home and collapsed back in bed...🙄I'm now also panicking that I might have something more sinister than flu/ or a cold gone mad...I've a mild fever, currently slight nausea, stuffy nose, cough and generally can't really do much.
Ugh... anyone else?

Oh crikey some real sufferers here. Am hoping I'll be fully recovered by day 10 - we're off to Centreparcs...

Oh God. About 10 days here so far.

Have had a head cold, a sore throat, deaf ears, smothered nose/throat so much snot it then went into my throat and chest, so coughing loads.

Thought I was on the mend, went to shops yesterday, but I went down hill rapidly again last night.

My sleep is broken.

Feel like shite again now. We have our only Christmas night out tonight... I need to go, it was DH's present.

Still in bed willing the drugs to kick in.

DH has it too but not as bad yet

Day 10. Like PP, new symptom every day. Seems to be dragging on

Me too had a cold about 8th December that turned into a cough, thought I was better by 21st then had to have 2 days in bed, went out Christmas Eve to a coffee shop, comply exhausted. Now a few more days in bed, but still so unwell, don't know if there's any point in seeing doctor but might have to as asthma is playing up now too. Get well everyone

Me too. Started yesterday. Nose running like a tap, sneezing, coughing, tired out. I've only just got over another bout and my chest is still bad from that. Anymore rundown and I'd be classed as roadkill.

Tomorrow i’ll have had it for two weeks although I think it’s been the flu with me, not a cold. It seems from friends that there are two things going round. I’ve got neutropenia so it’s been a big worry and I’ve been cursing the person who gave it to me (a feverish looking man who coughed all over me in the post office). I can’t believe how long it’s taking to get rid of. I was bed bound until yesterday, missed all of Christmas, ended up getting a peritonsillar abscess which burst the day before Christmas Eve, have had a terrible chest, a rash up one side of my body, a spasming throat which meant I couldn’t be left alone, insomnia, total loss of appetite, now terrible sinus congestion which has left me deaf (and one ear lobe has randomly turned purple?!) and just the worst exhaustion I have ever known despite having ME as a teenager. I had to go into work today and was just zombified.

Hope everyone is better soon. Here’s to health in 2019.
