Looking for inspiration on what to cook for New year for me and DH. I want to make sure kids are in bed and then have something nice.
What would you cook?
From scratch or "oven to plate"...…
Or takeaway??

On Christmas Eve I cooked

Scallops with lemon butter, pea shoots and pancetta

Duck breast with home made plum sauce, green beans, dauphinois potatoes

Ginger creme brûlée

None of it was that hard, and it was bloody awesome, if I say so myself.

Main...Beef wellington, daphanoise potatoes and vegs

Oooh add some chorizo to them

Last year’s menu was

  • Breaded BBQ chicken bites with a Jack Daniels Honey dipping sauce
  • Pepperoni Lasagne
  • chocolate cake and ice cream from Asda

DH cooked last year. It was lovely :)

Not sure what we’ll do this year.

We are going to order a Mezze from our fave Turkish place via Deliveroo.

Can't wait. We'll spend quite a bit as I want a few of their cold dishes for lunch the next day as well.

I'd do something easy like a Waitrose or M&S dine in deal just so I could relax!
