30th birthday ideas?

Turning 30 next year and looking for ideas of how to celebrate this err momentous occasion. 🥂

How did you celebrate your 30th?

Me and a couple of friends did a sponsored tandem sky dive. Will never forget my 30th but would never do it again!

I was pregnant with DC1 and turned it into a great way to socialise with all my friends before the baby was born. I hired a quirky venue with a garden and did teatime Prosecco, sandwiches and cake (held it during the afternoon as I wanted those who had babies already to be able to come too). It was a great party but I felt a bit ill afterward at the money I’d spent, which I could/should have saved for maternity leave! In hindsight I should have economised somewhere - bought less good fizz, perhaps not hired the vintage plates and teacups. I was behaving as if it was a mini wedding in a way, silly waste of money. I did get loads of friends and family there, it was a fantastic way to bring people together, but I regret the extravagance. Good luck with planning yours!
