Heaven and Hell

Lunch with friends today.
One just back from NY gave long rant about how awful Time Square was in the run up to Christmas in daylight (different at night). Ended saying when she dies, if she goes to hell, it will be that.
Got us all to thinking.

Me - Trocadero Piccadilly

Other friend - inside the Big Brother house.

Then we got on to heaven. As we were all together (and had had a cocktail) we agree that would be together, but somewhere hot.

What does your heaven/hell look like?

Heaven - sitting by a stream surrounded by trees, plants and wildlife.

Hell - being in a nightclub.

Bumblebee39 · 28/12/2018 18:55

Heaven- swimming in the Med on a summers day, not too hot, but hot enough
Hell- Shopping on Black Friday or in the January sales

Think NYC is better in the movies than IRL just like most Cities really

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 28/12/2018 18:59

Hell: at a party, having to socialise.

Heaven: alone on a tropical beach (but in the shade) with a good book.

PoutySprout · 28/12/2018 19:01

Heaven - Nigella’s pantry

Hell - camping.

planespotting · 28/12/2018 19:01

Hell: the central line at rush hour in August.
Heaven: natural hot springs with endless supply of food and drink

AnnieOH1 · 28/12/2018 19:05

Heaven - NYC even times square in the day time!

Hell - London - go figure!

OurChristmasMiracle · 28/12/2018 19:06

Heaven looks like being reunited with my parents, my 2 unborn angels, my brother and my aunt. Being able to hold the children who never made it here, but who are in my minds eye the ages they should have been. My daughter- 12 with curly hair- bold, outgoing independent and a little bossy, her younger brother, quieter, blonde hair, playing with train sets. My mum as I remember her- full of life and always on the go- keeping my kids in check until I am called home

Holding my big bro in my arms and never letting go of him

Hell- seeing them there but not being able to get to them- calling out but them not hearing, watching and feeling their deaths over and over again almost on a loop.

Heaven a massive library full of books and as long as i need to read them
Hell anywhere cold and wet and no escape

Redcrayonisthebest · 28/12/2018 19:09

Great idea for a thread.
Heaven: somewhere peaceful with sunshine, grass, waterfalls and a lake you can swim in.

Hell: a noisy, crowded bar.

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 28/12/2018 19:18

Heaven: the Auvergne in Spring, with a charming little bistro every couple of miles, in which old friends will greet you and share good wine.
Hell: waking up on the next to last day of the holiday, knowing the cruelty and homesickness was starting all over again.

StitchingMoss · 28/12/2018 19:21

Heaven: anywhere where my friends are, all of them, together for ever Smile

Hell: Tories - Hell must be full of them Wink

Heaven would be somewhere I can snorkel, relax and eat to my hearts content with my friends and family there!

Hell would be without them and in scenarios like stress dreams where you're late or have a text you hadn't prepared for.
