DH and I have come down with a terrible cold/flu. I've had flu jab, so mine is just a bad cold. But dh I'd say is bordering flu.

Both aching all over, can't breath sinus completely blocked, sore throat, struggling to swallow and feels like it's closing, fever & sweating but feel really cold, sore chest,
We have plastered selves in vapour rub. Got a chloreseptic spray sucking on halls and those jakemens throat things, taking ibuprofen and paracetamol every 4 hours and drinking black tea with honey and lemon. I have bought some night nurse for bed, Beyond this I have no idea what else I can do any advice welcome!

There’s nothing TO do.

Rest. Drink plenty of fluids. Wait.

Oh god I can't cope! You think I'm this day and age we should have a cure! I haven't felt this bad for years

I had flu that turned into pneumonia back in February. I would advice rest rest rest and watch the symptoms. If you don't start getting better in a few days, or start to feel better then dip down again, get onto the doctor. Hope you feel better soon. I know just how rotten it is.

Ive been the same since Christmas day.
We had so many plans and things to do. I managed to get up at 18.00hrs yesterday. I'm as grump AF though!!
I've had hardly anything eat. Even bland stuff is making me feel sick.
I'm having a pity party for one!!

DogMamma · 28/12/2018 15:18

Hold my hands up its a Total pity party here... i haven't been sick like this for a while so i shouldnt complain really.

I keep getting a few moments of energy that last about an average of 3 minutes! I get up and wash the dishes dss 11 creates because god forbid he could do it himself.
or tend to my dogs,,, again god forbid dss do it. (Even though 1 is his!) We are Just leaving him to own devices today.

DH called DMIL and she is on way to take him dss for a day or two as he is being particularly useless, selfish and annoying today. Should of heard the tantrum when i said i wasnt making dinner I'm too ill and he can heat up some soup in the micro wave and butter some bread! Or walk the 3 minutes around the corner to grab a Maccies, apparently I'm selfish and am neglecting him!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 🙈🙈🙈🙈

a friend her DP and Dc's are taking the dogs out for a walk for couple of hours for me....So our pity party can continue guilt free (dogs walked) and in peace and quiet (dss at mil) haha I really need a bath as I've been sweating like a pig but I haven't the energy even though I know I will feel slightly more human after one, as I've been like this for two days I'm disgusting and gross.....anyone willing to come bath me ?! Jokes...I think...
