I know there are worse problems, but i feel bad that i got him a lot less than he got me... Please tell me its not that bad...

We agreed not to go ott with presents cos we are booked to go on holiday mid january.

So i got him a bluetooth speaker, a controller charger for his ps4 (both things he needed/wanted to get) and a little teddy.

He got me lots of 'little things' and assures me he didnt spend too much, but it all adds up....! Theres about 20 'little' things, that include a ps4 game, a scarf, prosecco and prosecco flavour set, stationary for work, a teddy, a nice top, etc etc etc. Its waay more than i got him...

This was our first xmas, been together 6 months. I think he panicked and didnt know how much to spend... Is it bad that i spent so much less than him?

No of course it's not. It's not a competition. You agree a price limit, say £50 or £100, and buy something nice within that limit.

Not at all, I bet he’s mortified he’s embarrassed you!

Myshinynewname · 28/12/2018 11:24

No, you bought nice things that he wanted. It’s the thought that counts.

I have to say I agree with that. The value of presents is irrelevant to me, it’s the thought been put into it that matters.

Isadora2007 · 28/12/2018 11:27

You’re overthinking it all. Say thanks and don’t make a big fuss over it.
