Is Vancouver worth going to for afew days or would go go somewhere else?

Ive been invited to a wedding next Summer to Alberta. Ive been many years ago and travelled all around so im not bothered about touring the state. I wont be driving wither. I think its along way to go so i might get a stop over somewhere either in Canada or over the border Seattle or Portland. It depends what works out cheaper, does anyone know the area very well? I will most likely be on my own.

Vancouver would be wonderful for 3 days or more!
Lynn canyon and the 30ft pool, then grouse mountain (both in north van)
Bike or roller blade round the sea wall in Stanley park
Morning in Granville island market
Game of hockey if in season

We spent 4 ds’s in Vancouver at the e d of a skiing trip to Whistler about 15 years ago. Great city!

Yeah you should double check that first. It can be an issue. May mean flying to V and then separate ticket to Alberta.

Vancouver is a great city though. Constantly rated as one of the best places to live for a good reason!

Yes I thought about going over the border to Portland but it starts to get really expensive then.
