Age 11/12 started my period had always been heavy and a little painful was put on the pill.
For 4 years I was on and off different pills being ill with each one and taking over counter painkillers. Then I was given some blood reducing tablets that didn’t work reduced my periods but rather than being 9 days long was having 13 day periods just really light but still painful. Carried on for just taking pain killers getting lots of other symptoms like migraines back pain and really bad ovulation pain google told me it was endometriosis but each doctor insisted I was to young to have it others insisted there was no treatment or I couldn’t have surgery as I hadn’t had a child yet. Finally was given some codine to help but it made my migraines worse. Then finally a scan and then surgery 10 years later it confirmed I did have it all over my insides. They decided to give me the depo to stop my periods but instead I’ve had 3 months of period and extra bad ovary pain so bad I’m being sent for a scan recently the period has gone from light to clots every day and really heavy I’m exhausted emotional and up set still not got a scan date won’t be given anything stronger. I’ve just bled onto the bed sheets again I’ve cried all day at work and just found out 3 weeks ago there’s a special nhs clinic near me that deals with it but the first I heard of it was while looking online I’m so emotional it’s ruined my life I can barely go to work I’m exhausted all the time house is a mess hardy see friends any more because I’m so exhausted and In pain sorry for the long post and terrible writing im writing while in the bath and I’m terrible and writing. Has Anyone got a long term illness that no one seems to care about
