At the end of a far too long and drawn out illness. I am so pleased she's no longer in pain.

Am so very sorry x

PrincessPee · 27/12/2018 17:37

Couldn’t read and run, having lost my dear Nan a few days ago. So sorry for your loss x

StealthPolarBear · 27/12/2018 17:37

Thank you. She was too young (sixties). She'd had cancer and had treatment and they thought they'd got it all :(

Sorry to hear that princess. There's never a good time of year but I suspect 'a couple of days ago' was a particularly shit time.

I’m sorry to hear this, how sad for you Flowers

Very sorry Stealth. I lost my Godmother/aunt to cancer in October, she was only 50. I’ve been trying to use her sayings and actions to keep her memory going. Hope you are ok.

Mine was loud, opinionated and funny. She told us when we last visited (November I think, she stopped allowing visitors) that she'd not bothered with Christmas presents as she wouldn't be around (she was wrong!). She said we weren't allowed to weep and wail once she'd gone but we did have to wear black to her funeral.

Ah Stealth - am sorry to read this. I remember your thread about her back in the summer. It truly is a shit disease. Take care of yourself

PUGaLUGS · 27/12/2018 17:54

Sorry to hear that Stealth.

I lost mine in May, she was 93 and for the last couple of years suffered with dementia. She had though led a colourful life and amazing life and had a boyfriend of twenty years her junior. My mum and I were amazed to learn at her funeral that she also liked a crafty fag.

She left me some money which DH and I are using to go to Rome in May. She would whole heartedly approve as she used to love gadding about .

StealthPolarBear · 27/12/2018 17:56

Thank you it is
