Please suggest an Italian style chicken dish for 25+ guests

Just that really....
Please inspire me with your best chicken dishes that I can make the day before for a gathering of around 25 people.

I do not want to make curry as we have had it before. Not interested in fajitias or nacho type meals which are often suggested

we have previously made:

Meatballs, chilli, beef bourguignon, curry, lasagne, stroganoff

So this year I am looking for something different.

I said Italian as most coming like Italian food but I am totally open to suggestions.....

Thanks!

The hairy bikers do a Spanish chicken dish that is lovely. It's a one tray dish too that you just stick in the oven

Chicken Alfredo

I’ve eaten Delia’s Chicken Basque when it was part of catering for about 40 people. Not sure you could do it the day before but it is easy, and could be done in the morning. It’s also an “all in” recipe so no need for sides. www.deliaonline.com/recipes/type-of-dish/one-pot-recipes/chicken-basque

This Nigella one is easy & tasty.

You could prepare the day before and just shove it in the oven on the day. Serve with crusty bread and / or a rocket & watercress salad.

I always recommend this. Can swap sausages for chorizo

Thanks everyone - lots to look through there!
It's a lunch so I wanted to minimise the amount of work to be done on the morning - so had thought about something that could be prepped the night before and just heated up

The Chicken Cacciatora is very good.
www.deliaonline.com/recipes/international/european/italian/chicken-cacciatora
Easy to make and keeps very well. Use chicken portions on the bone or if using breast of chicken don't add it too soon or it'll go all stringy.
Serve with rice or mash, or baked potatoes, or just loads of french bread.

Angie169 · 27/12/2018 17:25

I don't know what I'd call it but I like half chicken breast per person cut a slit it length ways and put bits of torn mozzarella finely chopped tomatoes and fresh basil into the slit and roast for about 30 /40 mins . Allow to cool and slice across the breast , serve cold or warm with jacket spud and side salad.

Thanks for all the suggestions - will work my way through them over the next while
