At full term and now coming down with a cold/flu

I'm due to give birth anyway now but I'm coming down with a cold / flu. I never get sick so my immune system must be pretty low.

I know I can only take paracetamol but I'm just wondering if it will affect the birth in anyway? Also will baby get sick if I'm ill when I have him?

Rest rest rest. Lots of fluids and eat what you can. Paracetamol is fine.
I got norovirus 3 days before I went into labour and was so depleted my labour was horrendous and took me much longer to recover post birth

I had a really heavy cold when I had my dd, I took paracetamol and went to bed feeling unwell and woke up 2 hours later in full blown labour, my cold seemed to disappear for 3 days from that point, then came back with a vengeance but dd didn't catch it. Hope you feel better soon and congratulations on your new baby, great start to the new year
