Anyone have inside info on Merlin passes?

I am getting Merlin passes for the kids as a christmas present, they are older and know I'm holding out for the January sale to get them, but I can't find any info on the sale online, so I'm now bricking it a tad.
Does anyone know if they are having a sale this christmas?

The sale willgo online by Saturday at the latest ...I've renewed mine in the Xmas sale for the past 8 years

I hope so! We aren't renewals though, does that make a difference?

There's a sale price for renewals and a slightly higher price for new passes, but both are discounted

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but according to the Merlin Annual Pass FB group, the sale for new passholders was in November and the January sale is only for renewals.

They always have a new year sale for everybody. It’ll run from New Year’s Day until sometime in feb. Passes will actually start the day you pick them up. So even if you don’t get them until March they’ll run March-March. Done this for many years.

They have said this time January sale will be renewals only tho. Not for new passes.
They have just started a monthly membership which might be worth looking at.
This will be my 5th year and I love them.
