Setting up kindle fire as additional device for family member - how to keep my account private.

Is this possible?
I'm setting this up for my adult brain injured daughter who can't read well now, but can browse things and get the key words/idea through association but could not read a page of text for example. She wanted a device to listen to books and use as a tablet.
I want to not allow her to buy stuff on my amazon home page and not look at things I've bought or in my basket/wishlist.
Is there a way to do this?

Would setting it up as a child account work?

When you switch profiles on one device you need a password so she won't be able to access your Amazon etc.

She needs her own profile, either by signing up for an Amazon account with her email address or a new one or by creating her a child account (you may need to put in a fake date of birth. The adult option would probably be better because I'm not sure the kids user interface on the fire is what you need although I think teens possibly get the adult user interface.

You can join two adult and up to four child accounts together as a 'household' and share things like audiobooks, kindle books and a prime subscription.

We had a kindle then got another for children. So as they didn't get access to our stuff or spend on our debit card etc we just set up a new Amazon account for the new kindle (without a payment card associated with it too). I think we had to create a new e-mail address to associate with the Amazon account, but that is so easy to do nowadays too.

I've spent the last hour trying to do this. We're an Apple family but DD2 (6) got a Fire for Christmas and I'm trying to install family link on it. I consider myself pretty techy but this is my first real experience with android and it has defeated me. I've given up and nearly kicked it out of the window! It's crap! Why the hell cant it be simple?
