Christmas break at Butlins

So, it's been hard this year and I want to get away for Christmas 2019. Butlins looks good for the kids, can anyone offer any pearls of wisdom?

Which butlins were you thinking of going to? I haven’t been at Christmas but was at Bognor Regis this summer and had a lovely time. Butlins isn’t very popular on MN.

Just no. We went new year just gone. It was incredibly noisy, we could hear the noise from the entertainment part of the site from our chalet. People were reserving their tables in the entertainment area for NYE at 9am.
Paid for parking next to our accommodation, another car in our space, despite promises staff never got it moved.
Accommodation wasn’t properly clean, tinsel still on carpet.
Eldest picked up bug and was vomiting within a day or two of return home.
Never again

Could you stretch to a centre Parcs? Or hire a cottage?

We went at new years to Skegness because we had enjoyed it so much in the summer.

To be honest it was just OK. It wasn't as much fun as the summer, the crowds felt different too.

That was our third trip to Butlins and during the trip we both decided that it would also be our last!

We did have any cleanliness issues or troubles though. The service was as good as always.

Didn't have cleanliness issues*

I was thinking of Skegness. Centre Parcs were so expensive! It was a Christmas break I had in mind, 23rd-27th December. I really don't want to do Christmas at home!
