I’ll start:
Best - DD got a very random garden gnome which she had seen in the garden centre end of summer sale a few months ago and loved. I had forgotten all about it but it seems DF hadn’t and bought it for her. The delight outshone everything else! So glad I videoed her reaction!
Worst: not from the actual recipient but from my sister (recipient’s aunt) who watched the gift opening. Bought DN very on trend yoga pants (she does yoga/Pilates/dance and running so they will be worn a lot!) which were not cheap. To make the gift up to budget I added some fun stationary from Tiger (she’s very artistic and loves stationary like a lot of 13 year old girls). As she opened it my sister (not DN’s mum) was on FaceTime with her boyfriend (who we’ve never met - she lives far from us) and said “obviously this is from Chocolate - it’s so weird and random” then giggled and raised her eyebrows. FWIW - DN loves the gift but my sister’s comments have really pissed me off - always trying to put a downer on things other people have done. (She’s 26 btw - not 15!)
